Research Experience

Probabilistic Operator Learning for Climate Model Parameterisation

University of Cambridge · April–July 2024

Master’s dissertation project (73%). Developed a novel probabilistic operator-learning framework offering closed-form, principled estimates of predictive uncertainty. Achieved competitive performance on benchmark PDE emulation problems in a low-data regime.

Using Satellite-Observable Variables to Predict Abyssal Ocean Circulation

University of Cambridge · January–April 2024

Group project (77%). Demonstrated that machine-learning models can measure the strength of deep-ocean currents using only satellite-observable variables. Found evidence that these variables predict future changes to deep-ocean currents, with implications for long-term climate science.

Social Dynamics on Higher-Order Networks

Imperial College London · June 2022–present

Master’s dissertation project (78%). Developed a model of social interaction in higher-order networks that includes group effects. Worked with large real-world social-activity datasets to better understand how disinformation spreads through a population, motivating models with sociological literature and implementing them through generalisations of the Ising model.
